Dovey: AI that finds winning Meta ads and makes yours

Dovey is an AI ads research and creation tool that finds what works in the Meta Ad Library and makes Meta ad creatives in your brand, for anyone who runs Meta ads: a one-person business, a startup, a marketing team or an agency.

What Dovey does

Ad search in plain language

Type what you want to see, such as “top NYC restaurant ads” or “fitness app ads with a founder on camera”, and Dovey returns the ads themselves from the Meta Ad Library, top performers first, ranked by how long each has run, how many versions the advertiser tests and how often Meta shows it. You see what a category or a competitor is actually paying for, not a keyword match.

Answers about what works

Ask “which angles perform best for gyms?” or “what share of skincare ads are videos?” and Dovey answers with charts, tables and the ads behind them. Every creative in the index has been read for its angle, hook, offer, format and who appears, so the questions a marketer asks have data behind them.

Ad creatives in your brand

Ask for an ad and Dovey makes a finished Meta ad in your brand: the image and the primary text, headline and call to action, with three sizes on request (feed, story and square). It arrives in Slack, your AI assistant or Dovey; you approve, skip or change it, and Dovey learns. Your first 3 creatives are free.

Remix and change, in the chat

Any ad you find can be remixed into your brand from the chat, and any creative can be changed by a sentence: a new price, a shorter headline, another language, three variations. Each one comes with its primary text and headline, ready to copy.

Connectors

Everything above is a tool inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and Gemini. A marketer who lives in an AI assistant can search ads, ask about the data and make designs without opening another app.

What makes Dovey different

Search by meaning, not by keyword

The Meta Ad Library only matches an advertiser’s name or exact words in the ad copy. Dovey reads every creative and ranks by evidence: days running and versions made. “Ads for productivity apps” works in Dovey and does not in the Ad Library.

It makes the ads, not just a swipe file

Foreplay and Magic Brief are libraries you browse and save into. Dovey does that, and then makes ad creatives from what it found, in your brand, and learns from what you approve.

About 110 new ads a month for $99

A Facebook ads agency for a small business typically charges a $1,500 to $5,000 monthly retainer on a 3 to 6 month contract and delivers 4 to 10 creatives a month. Dovey Pro is $99 a month, month to month, and makes a creative in about a minute, one credit each.

No access to your ad account

AdCreative.ai and most agencies want to connect to your Meta account first. Dovey works from public data and your website, so setup takes about five minutes and nothing is granted.

It works where you already work

Canva and AdCreative.ai are tools you open and operate. Dovey shows up: the ads arrive in Slack, and every feature is a connector tool in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so the research happens inside the conversation you were already having.

Who uses Dovey

  • One-person businesses that run their own Meta ads: restaurants, gyms, dental practices, salons, real estate, local services.
  • Startups getting started on marketing, usually a founder or the first marketing hire, spending $500 to $10,000 a month.
  • Direct-to-consumer brands with one or two people on paid social who need fresh creative every week.
  • In-house marketing teams at growth-stage companies who want creative research, volume and a testing loop without adding headcount.
  • Agencies and freelance media buyers managing several accounts who need research and creative per client.
  • Marketers who work inside Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and want ad research as a tool there.

The team behind Dovey

Daryl Budiman, founder

Daryl is a previous Y Combinator founder who hated doing marketing, and built Dovey for himself: a way to know what ads work and get new ones without becoming a media buyer. He runs the company from New York City.

How Dovey started

Dovey started in in New York City from a founder’s own problem: knowing which ads work and getting new ones every week without becoming a media buyer. Watching what businesses actually needed settled the product: not another design tool, but fresh ads from what already works and proof of what works.

How Dovey works

Onboarding

You give Dovey your website. In about five minutes it builds a brand document: what you sell, who buys it, how you sound, what you have run before. You pick the styles you like, and you are set up.

When you ask

Ask for an ad in Slack, your AI assistant or Dovey and it comes back in about a minute, with three sizes on request. You approve, skip or reply with a change. A change comes back in about a minute. Approved ads are exported in Meta’s sizes, ready to upload.

Research any time

Search ads and ask questions in Dovey or inside your AI assistant. Save what you find into collections and remix any ad into your brand.

Support

Customers reach support from inside the app and by email, and hear back within a day. There are no account managers between you and the product.

Frequently asked questions

What is Dovey?

Dovey is an AI ads research and creation tool for anyone who runs Meta ads. It searches the Meta Ad Library in plain language, answers questions about what works, and makes new ad creatives in your brand, delivered to Slack or to the AI assistant you already use.

How much does Dovey cost?

Starter is $49 a month: 100 credits, one per search, question or ad creative. Pro is $99 a month: 500 credits and priority support. Both start with a 3-day free trial and are month to month; your first 3 creatives are free. Enterprise plans are priced per team.

Does Dovey need access to my Meta ad account?

No. Dovey reads the public Meta Ad Library and builds from your website and the ads you have already run. If you want it to learn from your results, you can share your Ads Manager reports; it is optional.

Can I use Dovey inside Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Dovey is a connector: every feature is a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and Gemini. You can search ads, ask about the data and make designs without opening Dovey.

Where does the ads data come from?

From the Meta Ad Library, Meta's public record of every ad running on Facebook and Instagram, read through a licensed data provider. Dovey adds what Meta does not: a plain-language search, a read of each creative, and a ranking by how long an ad has run and how many versions the advertiser made.

Does Dovey publish ads to Meta for me?

Not yet. Every approved ad is exported in Meta's sizes so you can upload it to Ads Manager in seconds. Publishing directly is on the roadmap for customers who add Dovey as a partner.

Is Dovey a replacement for an ad agency?

For the creative side, yes: research, ad creatives in your brand when you ask, copy in your voice, and it learns from what you approve. It does not buy media or run your campaigns. Agencies use Dovey too, for research and creative volume across their clients.

Who owns the ads Dovey makes?

You do. Every ad and design made for you is yours to run and edit anywhere, with no attribution. Your brand document, uploads and results are never reused for another customer.
