TLDR:
- The examples below are ads that were still running on September 24, 2026 after 120 days or more, from Dovey's index of the Meta Ad Library. Run time is public; performance is not.
- Copy that lasts states the offer or the problem in the first line, puts a number in the first three lines, and ends with one instruction. Dovey tags every ad's hook, angle and offer so you can filter for exactly that.
- The first line does the work. "Bloating? Try Amla." (169 days, 8 versions) and "Keratosis pilaris affects 40% of adults" (486 days) are the whole ad, and both come up in Dovey by their hook.
- Testimonials as the body outlast feature lists: Hungryroot's one-line customer quote has run 311 days in Dovey's index.
- Steal the structure, not the sentences. Dovey's remix takes a top performer's structure and writes it for your product, with proof that is true for you.
Where do these examples come from?
Dovey indexes the Meta Ad Library and keeps the start date and the number of versions Meta groups with each creative. Everything below was active on September 24, 2026 and had been for at least 120 days. Meta does not publish results, so run time and versions are the evidence: an advertiser does not keep paying for four months by mistake.

What do they have in common?
- The first line is the ad. Every example works if you read only the first sentence. Most people do.
- A number in the first three lines. 40% of adults, 100,000+ customers, $299, 4.9/5, 90 days. Numbers read as true.
- One instruction at the end. Shop now, make the switch, try risk-free. Not three.
- Proof is specific. A named customer, a count, a rating with its sample size, a guarantee with its length.
- Short bodies survive. Buildify and Coinbase run two-line bodies for hundreds of days. Long bodies survive only when they are lists.
What should I not copy?
The words. Every line above is true for that brand: their price, their guarantee, their review count. Take the shape: problem in line one, a number, a guarantee, one ask. Then fill it with what is true for you.
And do not read run time as a verdict on copy alone. The creative, the offer and the audience are in the same test. The copy is the part you can read.
How do I find more like these?
Search a category in Dovey and keep the default Sort: Top. Every card shows the copy, the days and the versions, and Remix drafts a version for your brand from the ad's structure.
FAQ
How long should Facebook ad copy be?
As long as it needs to be to state the offer or problem, one piece of proof and one instruction. The top performers in the index include two-line bodies (Buildify, 341 days) and list-style bodies of eight lines (Alevia, 169 days). What does not last is a paragraph.
What is the best first line for a Facebook ad?
The one that states the problem or the offer in the reader's words. Of the ads running 120+ days in the index on September 24, 2026, the first lines were offers, problems, proof statements, questions and stories, in that order of frequency.
Do these examples show which ads performed best?
No. Meta publishes no performance for ordinary ads. Run time and the number of versions are the public evidence that an advertiser kept paying, which is the closest thing to a result you can see.
