Common questions

Is Dovey free?

Yes. The free plan makes 10 designs or edits a month, with a small Dovey watermark, and asks for no card. Text a real brief for your own business and judge the actual result before paying anything.

What is a credit?

One credit is one design or one edit. "Make me a happy hour poster" is a credit; "make it green" is another. Starter's 150 credits are about five new designs a week with room for changes; Pro's 500 cover a shop that posts daily. Credits refill on your billing date and do not roll over.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Dovey stops making new designs until your credits refill or you upgrade. Everything you already made stays yours, and downloading it is always free.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Dovey lives at a phone number. You text it from Messages on an iPhone, or over SMS on anything else, and the finished poster comes back in the same thread. There is also a web studio if you want to move things by hand.

How is this different from Canva?

You describe the poster instead of building it. Canva gives you a template and an editor; Dovey gives you a finished design in about 20 seconds, and you change it by replying. If you want to hand-place every element or need print sizes Canva already has, Canva is still the better tool. If you want the poster done while you are behind the counter, that is Dovey.

Can it use my brand colors?

Yes. Send your website once and Dovey pulls your colors, name, and voice from it, then carries them into everything. You can switch that off by text ("turn off my brand") for a one-off design in a different look.

Can I use the designs commercially?

Yes. Posters, flyers, menus, and posts you make are yours to print, post, or run as ads, with no attribution and no extra license, on every plan. You are responsible for having the rights to any logos or photos you send.

How do I cancel?

Sign in with your phone number, open Profile, and tap Manage plan. Changes and cancellations happen in Stripe, take effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and there is no fee. You can also text Dovey "my subscription" for the link.
