SMS Terms

1. What you are signing up for

The programme is Dovey, a design service you use by texting. Messages from Dovey are conversational: replies to your requests, your verification code, the designs you asked for, and occasional service messages about your account. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we would ask for separate consent before we ever did.

Message frequency varies with how much you use the service. A quiet week is no messages at all; an active one is as many as you send.

You give consent by entering your phone number at makedovey.com and confirming, or by texting our number first. Consent to messaging is not a condition of any purchase, and you can use the web studio without ever texting us.

Messages are delivered over Apple's iMessage service where available and over SMS otherwise, through our messaging provider. We assign you a number to text; it is the number your conversation lives at.

2. Who can sign up

You must be 18 or older and the person who owns the phone number, or authorised to use it. Do not sign up someone else's number.

If you change or give up your number, tell us at the address below so we can unlink it. Otherwise the next person to hold that number could reach your workspace by texting us.

3. Rates

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Dovey does not charge for messages; your carrier might. Messages sent over iMessage use data rather than your SMS allowance.

4. Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP at any time and we will stop messaging that number. We honour STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT the same way. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the address below.

Stopping messages does not delete your account or the designs you have made. Reply START to begin again, or write to us to have everything deleted.

Delivery depends on Apple, your carrier, and our messaging provider. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and neither we nor they can guarantee delivery.

5. Your information

We use your phone number to run the service and to deliver your designs, and we do not sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing. Our messaging provider processes your number and message contents on our behalf so that messages reach you.

Text messaging is not a secure channel, so please do not send card numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive information. What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy at makedovey.com/privacy.
